Come and Try Sailing For Free
Bank Holiday Monday, 27th August 2012 11:00 - 16:00

Staunton Harold Sailing Club invites you to come to try sailing for FREE at the club's Sail for Gold Open Day on Monday 27th August.

Whether getting your first taste of sailing under the watchful eye of a RYA Instructor or simply sampling the social side of what life at Staunton Harold SC has to offer, the Sail for Gold Open Day is open to everyone regardless of age, gender or experience.

Dinghies and sailing clothing (buoyancy aids, wetsuits and spray-tops) will be available so just bring along a spare pair of soft-soled shoes and the club will supply everything else you need! Snacks and light lunches will be available to buy at our volunteer-run galley.

Staunton Harold SC is an enthusiastic participant in the RYA's nationwide London 2012 initiative, Sail for Gold, celebrating Britain's unmatched Olympic sailing heritage and inspiring more people to get out on the water more regularly.
Throughout the year, the club will be running special events under the Sail for Gold banner to bring the buzz of the Olympics as close as home to possible for everyone, wherever they live.

Please note that consent and medical forms will need to be completed before going afloat. Under 18's must have a consent form signed by a parent/carer on the day, and under 8's must be accompanied by a  parent/carer in the boat. Sailing sessions are for up to 1 hour.
