SHSC host the British Moth National Championships.

Over a four day period of fine weather and fair winds between the 7th and 10th of August Staunton Harold S.C. hosted their first ever National Championships. The welcome participants were the The British Moth Association, whose members sail  a single handed dinghy which was one of the first planing dinghies ever to be designed in 1932. Needless to say it has had a controlled development over its life and now sports carbon spars and laminated sails amongst other modern innovations. A significant turnout of 29 boats competed for an impressive array of silverware with the overall 2013 National Championship going to Toby Cooper.

Thanks to all the SHSC members who helped to run this event, which was highly appreciated by competitors and staff alike, and in particular Nigel and Di Pepperdine, Lol Hayward, and Alan Bennett for their sterling work.
