The 2013/14 Sailjuice Series finished in stormy conditions once again with the Tiger Trophy at Rutland this weekend. Our sailors battled through violent conditions in both of the last 2 events at Northampton and Rutland to land some fantastic overall results. In a really close battle amongst the leading contenders Pete Grey (crewed through most of the series by Rachael Rhodes) in his Scorpion finished up 4th overall with Craig Williamson very close behind in 5th out of a massive total entry of 835 boats. Simon Forbes had crewed most of the series with Pete Mitchell in his Scorpion coming in 10th overall after a win in the Oxford leg.

The icing on the cake was provided by Tim Needham finishing in 3rd place in the Tiger Trophy crewing for Andy Smith in their 505. The conditions on the Saturday saw just 45 out of a total entry of 134 managing to finish, and the 2nd race having to be cancelled. Notable SHSC results in slightly better weather for Sunday's Pursuit Race saw Tim in 3rd, Cora Kenmiur-Hogg crewing for Arran Holman in their 420 in 16th, Tim Saunders crewing for Ben Hazeldean in a Fireball in 19th, Sam Smith crewing for Ali Ireland in their 420 in 31st out of 114 starters.

Well done all!
