Winning start to 2016 for Staunton Harold sailors

Winning Start to 2016

New Year’s Day saw Notts County Sailing Club’s, first race of the year, the Geoff Parker Memorial Race with great representation from Staunton’s travelling sailors. 

Competition was tough with over 50 entries making this a great start to 2016. Congratulations go to Peter Gray & Simon Forbes who took 1st place in the Fast Fleet in a Scorpion and to Richard Pepperdine and Tim Gray both sailing Solos who came 1st and 2nd respectively in the Slow Fleet - well done!

Rachel Rhodes and Hannah Edge had a great sail in a Scorpion - scooping fifth in the Fast Fleet - whilst in the Slow Fleet Nigel and Di Pepperdine came fifth in their RS200, and Paul Williamson and Craig Williamson took sixth and ninth respectively, in their Lasers.
